Bulbapedia also has an article about Sky Drop glitch (Generation V).

The Sky Drop glitch is a glitch in Pokémon Black and White. The glitch was discovered in the Japanese versions of the games, where it was occasionally referred to as the Freefall glitch by English players prior to the official localization of the game. It is one of few Pokémon glitches in particular known to have received specific recognition from Nintendo, along with the MISSINGNO. glitch Pokémon, the Surf through Elite Four door glitch and the Broken escalator glitch.

After its discovery, the use of Sky Drop was banned in random Wi-Fi matches starting from November 10, 2010. Despite this, the glitch persists in North American and European localizations of Pokémon Black and White after the games were officially translated.

Method and effects

The Sky Drop glitch only occurs in Double battles and Triple Battles when Gravity is used while two Pokémon are in the air after from after using Sky Drop. After Gravity is used, the move will bring both the user of Sky Drop and the opponent down as expected, although the affected opponent remains unable to make a move throughout the battle, unless the user is knocked out or switches.
