The Aroma Lady "Rose" east of Mauville City is the most well known example of a trainer through normal gameplay that is affected by this glitch. In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, this Aroma Lady will keep changing the direction that she is facing until she sees the player at a space ranging from 1-5 steps away and then will walk up to the player, regardless of whether a ledge is in front of her or not. This does not apply to Pokémon Emerald, as the sam Aroma Lady has been placed in a different part of that Route.
It is also notable that this particular Aroma Lady states "The aroma of flowers has a magical power. Her dialogue was changed to "The aroma of flowers has a magical power. It cleanses our body and soul." after the release of Pokémon Emerald.
