Surf from a cliff
Surf from a cliff is a natural glitch in Pokémon Red and Green only.
The player can use Surf from the 'north edge' tile of a rock. Since surfing this way doesn't give the 'current is too fast' message, it is possible for the player to catch Articuno without solving the boulder puzzle.
