The Transform buffer overflow glitch occurs in GS whenever a Pokémon transforms into a ?????. It is probably due to those glitch Pokémon's internal sprite dimensions like how they force a link battle when encountered in the wild (even though the sprite is restricted to the typical reasonably sized looking variant).

The effects aren't constant. Like CoolTrainer♀ it seems there is room for manipulation, but the specifics aren't known.
Unfortunately a Glitch Dimension may prevent this glitch from having any practical use (although it is another way of activating one, and it hasn't been checked if it causes any mailbox glitches/Trainer House corruptions yet).

The Pokémon that used Transform keeps its original sprite, yet a corruption occurred; i.e. the nickname of the user's Pokémon on the field.
