This glitch occurs in Pokémon X and Y.

Method

When a Pokémon evolves through Wonder Trade and gains a new move from it, both the new move and the old one will disappear.

Cause

As of now, seeing as no ROM data is available for the game, it is thought that a coding error causes the new move to be marked as invalid. This, paired with the old move being marked as invalid from being overwritten, causes both to disappear.

Update

This glitch no longer occurs with the Version 1.2 update.
