Within the coding of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire a rather large blue map corresponding to Route 104 exists within the game; however this is normally inaccesible within the games without the use of a [[Game-altering device]]. It is unknown why Nintendo decided to design the large blue room however it may have been a test room for testing whether battles and in-game events performed up to their standards.

This map is likely to have been identical to the altered Route 104 in the Pokémon Festa 2002 demo, which contained a warp to a [[R/S Flower Shop (Festa 2002 demo)|closed version of the Pretty Petal Flower Shop]] and included several NPCs from the demo whom removed from the final game, for example; one informing the player that the florists inside the Flower Shop have left [http://web.archive.org/web/20020830124732/www.turquoisecity.com/Labs/Games/Advance/FestaDemo.shtm].
Notably, none of these trainers have been used in the final game.
These maps still exist in Pokémon Emerald, but the event data for them was removed.

The dimensions of this map are 1x1 tile, meaning that it needs to be modified to be able to see every NPC. There is probably no tileset for it; the image above just uses a blue background for the map.

An unused, alternative version of Route 104 in the final version of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, with its dimensions expanded from 1x1 tile.

An alternative version of the northern part of Route 104 exists within the engine of the final version of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. This map remains inaccessible without the use of a cheating device.

This map is likely to have been identical to the altered Route 104 in the Pokémon Festa 2002 demo, which contained a warp to a closed version of the Pretty Petal Flower Shop and included several NPCs from the demo whom removed from the final game, for example; one informing the player that the florists inside the Flower Shop have left [1]. These maps still exist in Pokémon Emerald, but the event data for them was removed.

The dimensions of this map are 1x1 tile, meaning that it needs to be modified to be able to see every NPC. There is probably no tileset for it; the image above just uses a blue background for the map.
