Within the coding of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire a rather large blue map corresponding to an alternative version of the northern part of Route 104 exists within the game; however this map is normally inaccesible without the use of a [[game-altering device]]. For unknown reasons, it is incomplete in the sense that it uses no specified tileset data. The default dimensions are 1x1 tile, which may suggest that either the developers wanted to denote a map which was not going to be used in the final game to other staff or that the size of the map was left undefined, hence using a default size of 1x1 tile. This map contains several trainers, according to the Unseen64 website, none of these trainers have been used in the final game.

An unused, alternative version of Route 104 in the final version of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. This image has been modified so that the map uses a blue background, as tileset data is undefined. Note that various trainers exist here whom were only used within the Pokémon Festa 2002 demo.
