Pokédex sorting 0xFE is a glitch Pokédex sorting in Pokémon Crystal.
Effect
- Opening listing may bring up a corrupted version of the search screen; the same as DexDex/GS:254.
- Pressing Select to get to mode selection screen may successfully bring it up, with description "???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????", or simply freeze the game. Afterwards, closing the menu may change the Pokémon on the listing and if the player closes the Pokédex a heavy Glitch City may appear. If the player instead presses A, arbitrary code execution at region 9007 in VRAM may occur. Due to locked VRAM during the execution, this may result in a Glitch Dimension with the "This Game Pak is designed only for use on the Game Boy Color." message.
When accessed with C7D8 method
- Pressing A may heavily corrupt the mode selection screen and cause arbitrary code execution at region 8000 in VRAM. VRAM may be locked, resulting in a Glitch Dimension with the "This Game Pak is designed only for use on the Game Boy Color." message.
