Pokédex sorting 0xA3 is a glitch Pokédex sorting in Pokémon Gold and Silver.

Effect

  • Game may freeze due to an invalid opcode (0xF4) at 10:7A15 in ROM.
  • If invalid opcodes are ignored (see DexDex/GS:163 (Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console), it is possible to access the mode selection screen), where the description may be "KéDEX MODE A to Z MODE UNOWN MODE". However, shortly after the mode selection screen appears the game may force the Pokédex to close and load a Glitch City, before resetting in a Glitch Dimension.

When accessed with C6D8 method

  • Pressing A may freeze the game due to an invalid opcode (0xFC) at 4D31 in ROM bank 0x30. If invalid opcode is ignored, the game may still freeze.
