The glitch between a Gold and Yellow version

The glitch Pokémon 0xFE corruption glitch is a glitch in Generations I and II.

When a glitch Pokémon with the index number 254 (FE) is taken to be traded ('M (FE) or ゥ/ 4ァ 4, (FE) or ????? (FE) (Gold/Silver/Crystal)), it corrupts the other Pokémon in the party. Usually they unfortunately can't be traded however, because all affected Pokémon are said to be abnormal. At least for a Generation I/II trade, the other player's Pokémon are unaffected after the trade is cancelled.
