In Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal, "'''N/A'''" refers to a specific [[error handler]] which appears in the index of map locations which are displayable on the Town Map. Its function however, is unknown, although it may act as a placeholder for undefined, or previously removed town map locations. It is not to be confused with the placeholder "SPECIAL", which although uses a hexadecimal identifier of 00, specifically denotes a location which will use the last town map location stored in memory.
