This Egg gift jingle curiosity occurs in the South Korean versions of Pokémon Gold and Silver, and may be a glitch. One possible way to confirm if it is a bug is through analysis of the ROM.

In all other versions of Pokémon Gold and Silver, receiving the Mystery Egg containing a Togepi results in an 'Egg received jingle', except for the Korean versions which play no sound effect for receiving it at all.
