To do this, have an Egg be the only Pokémon in your party other than the Pokémon being affected, then make that Pokémon faint by healing it (or by losing only 1 HP from the Pomeg Berry). Switch the egg into the first slot in your party, and enter a battle. The Pokémon inside the egg will battle (with an egg-colored sprite), and can gain experience points in this way. |
