The Thunderbolt Glitch, or Thunder Glitch is a minor glitch only existing in the Third Generation of the handheld Pokémon games, namely Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon Firered, Pokémon Leafgreen and Pokémon Emerald.
When the player uses the move Thunderbolt or Thunder the game may occasionally skip an event which would usually end this particular sound effect, hence the Sound Effect for Thunderbolt or Thunder may linger until the game is turned off, or sometimes crash the game.
